San Diego Homeowners Have a New Financing Alternative for Energy-efficient Home Improvements
Still have your original windows, air conditioning and heating system?
Thinking about drought-tolerant landscaping?
There is a new alternative to traditional financing for these big-ticket items. The Hero Financing Program is now available to San Diego residents for the improvement or installation of energy and water efficiency products. It provides eligible homeowners with access to a low-interest, long-term, tax-deductible financing option that is repaid through your property taxes. Approvals are not based on credit scores and you can apply on line. The loan repayment appears as a line item on your property tax bill.
This is a loan, so you should have complete information to make an informed decision before you borrow money. If you have any questions about tax deductions or related tax-benefits, please consult your tax advisor. When you visit the Hero website, scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see Contact Information and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). The Hero Main Office is located at 15073 Avenue of Science, Suite 200 in Carmel Mountain Ranch.

I’d like to extend a special “thank-you” to Jason Mathis at ASI Heating for advising me that the program is now available in San Diego.
